Pot of Gold Music Festival is a large four-day music experience with over 25 bands featured on the lineup. The all-ages festival, located at Tempe Beach Park, takes place from March 13-15 with an additional day on the 17th. Times for the event vary by day and can be viewed online.

Pot of Gold features artists from every genre. Headliners include bands such as Bastille, Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar and Korn.

Tempe Beach Park has hosted a St. Patrick’s Day event for the past nine years. This holiday season, the event has expanded to a rain-or-shine four-day festival. Fans will enjoy great weather, amazing music, and a memorable experience to look forward to.

Tempe Beach Park provides a great location as it is centrally located near ASU. The large park is also accessible by freeway and light rail. The main entrance to the park is located on the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway.

Tom LaPenna, the owner of the Marquee Theatre, is the producer for the event.

“We are allowed to stage events at Tempe Beach Park, but each day of the week has different hours we can make noise,” LaPenna said. “Also, this is the first time that we will have two stages in the amphitheater with all national artists.”

Pot of Gold’s lineup truly has something for everyone. Bands such as Bastille and Fall Out Boy are nationally-recognized rock bands that are loved by fans of all genres. The large lineup also features accomplished rap artists Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q. Whether you’re a fan of alternative, electronic, or reggae music, you will find something to enjoy at Pot of Gold.

“We wanted a variety of musical styles on each day and I think we accomplished that,” LaPenna said. “I am very pleased with the entire lineup.”

Insight Management, run by Melvyn and Maria Brunner, is handling all of the press for the festival. All traditional media outlets are being used for event promotion. The event relies heavily on social media and can be found on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. There is also a mailing list you can sign up for to receive additional information including, including participation in contests and artist giveaways.

Bethany Martinez, a business student at SCC, is extremely excited for the four day festival. Martinez actively attends concerts and festivals, and was even a part of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last season.

“The lineup for Pot of Gold is so amazing for a local event,” Martinez said. “I think it is definitely similar to Coachella. The lineup is smaller, but I think it will still be a lot of fun for people. The vibe and experience will probably be the same.”

Pot of Gold is also partnered with the Spark of Hope Foundation. Spark of Hope is an organization that provides for children and families that are not supported by traditional charitable programs. The organization is committed to making a difference in the lives of families with children that have special needs. A portion of the Pot of Gold proceeds are being donated to the Valley charity.

“Spark of Hope oversee our liquor license and we donate a percent of the alcohol sales,” LaPenna said.

Pot of Gold Music Festival is a general admission event with tickets for sale online or at the Marquee box office. Tickets for each individual day of the event are priced at $49, and there are no multi-day ticket options.
