Tyler Blevins, better known as “Ninja” announced on Tuesday afternoon a partnership deal with Adidas.

The deal will make him the brand’s first-ever Pro Gamer signed.

“No shortcuts. Only long days. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t catch your dreams. Choose your path. Put the TIME IN. I’m humbled, and excited, to officially announce my partnership with @adidasoriginals” wrote Ninja on Twitter.

The announcement included a motivational video outlining the motto “TIME IN” in which Ninja discusses the importance of “chasing your dreams and putting forth the time to perfect your craft” while sporting an Adidas branded NINJA hoodie.

Adidas spoke with Endgadget and told them that ” the deal with Ninja is intended to show its commitment to gaming culture” and “supporting creators who show dedication to excelling in their field” adding that “ultimately, it is here to help athletes make a difference in their game — no matter what games they’re playing.”

Adidas currently also sponsors other esports teams, but Ninja is the first individual contract to be signed by the brand. He joins other athletes such as James Harden from the Houston Rockets and Mohamad Salah from Liverpool FC under the brand.

It’s been a year to remember for Ninja, in April he was named one of TIME100 most influential people of 2019, and only a few weeks ago he shocked the gaming community by jumping streaming platforms and taking his talents from Twitch to exclusively stream on its competitor Mixer.

Although terms of deal were not readily available Ninja announced via his Mixer stream that details were coming soon.

“I can’t say specifically what is in the works with Adidas, but use your imagination,” Ninja said on his Mixer stream.
