Salt River Fields at Talking Stick held a very cheesy festival this Saturday and Sunday. At this Macaroni festival, only the best Mac and cheese were presented.

Danielle Klus a general manager at Barrel & Bushel spoke to Northeast Valley News about her new restaurant which includes Mac and Cheese coming to Downtown Phoenix.

“We’re a brand new restaurant coming to Downtown Phoenix at the end of 2019 and we are going to be very locally focused American comfort food menu, and today we are featuring an age cheddar jalapeno and corn mac and cheese,” Klus said.

VIP tickets were also available with the VIP access came 4 free drinks in addition to that one free soda and water, 5 tokens for Mac and Cheese samplings as well as private restrooms.

This kid-friendly event only had about 25 restaurants serving Mac & Cheese.

Games such as Jenga, Ping Pong and connect 4 were also around the festival As well as some bouncy houses and slides.

Lisa Schners also spoke to Northeast Valley News about her experience at this festival with all this Mac and Cheese.

“It’s delicious so far! I am looking forward to other Mac and Cheese vendors because I love Mac and cheese!” Schners commented.
