Arizona Coyotes lose to St. Louis Blues 4-3 on the road

The City of Tempe will review the Coyotes’ new arena proposal in the coming weeks.

The Coyotes looked into the face of a very good team, playing the St. Louis Blues but they just couldn’t beat first-place team in the Honda West Division

The Coyotes Christian Dvorak, who had his 25th birthday today, drove hard to the net, got the puck from Tyler Pitlick and slid it and himself past Jordan Binnington for a score of 1-0 in the first period.

The Blues Mike Hoffman evened it up for the St. Louis Blues 1-1 to end the first period.

The Blues Justin Faulk makes it a 2-1 game in the second period.

The Coyotes Christian Dvorak, on the power play, makes it 2-2 in the second.

The Blues Vince Dunn makes it a 3-2 game in the second period.

The Blues Ryan O’Reilly makes it’s 4-2 during a 4-on-4 in the third period.

The Coyotes Nick Schmaltz makes it 4-3 during the third period.

The Coyotes nearly tied it in the dying seconds of the period but the puck just didn’t bounce their way.

Play of the Game

Christian Dvorak’s second goal was the play of the game. He was in the perfect position for the deflection where the puck went right into the back of the net. You can see it here.

Player of the Game

Christian Dvorak made the best of his birthday with his game tonight. He was active in plays and sharp on the penalty kill. With two goals, this was his day.

Three Howls

The third howl goes to Nick Schmaltz for the nice play to make it 4-3 with two minutes left.

The second howl goes to goaltender Darcy Kuemper, who make 28 stops and made some amazing saves.
