Two years removed from a magical World Series run, the 2025 Arizona Diamondbacks look to bring home their second title in franchise history boosted by their $210 million pitcher.
The fans anticipate great things from the 2025 season roster.
In what became the most shocking free agent signing of the offseason, former Cy Young Award winner and four time All-Star Corbin Burnes signed a six-year, $210 million contract.
After missing the 2024 postseason by 0.5 games, Arizona’s front office staff of Ken Kendrick, Derrick Hall and Mike Hazen got to work during free agency to boost up an already established team.
While losing the three consecutive Gold Glove Winner and fan favorite First Baseman Christian Walker to the Houston Astros, the Diamondbacks quickly reloaded by trading for 2024 All-Star First Baseman Josh Naylor from the Cleveland Guardians.
Opening Day for the MLB signifies a fresh start for all teams and fans. Fan optimism for 2025 season playoffs is high as they waited to hear “Play Ball!” on opening day roar through the stadium.
“We have been coming to Diamondback games for at least 10 years now, last year was our first opening game. After the game, we knew as a family that Opening Day would be a new tradition for us,” said Diana Elliot, whose family has been Diamondbacks fans for more than a decade.
With heavy hitters in the Diamondbacks division of the National League West (NL West) like the 2024 World Series Champions Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, Diamondback fans say they have every reason to believe this year is their year.
Alex Garcia, an Arizona native and a fan of the D-Backs since their inaugural season in 1998 told Northeast Valley News, “I’ve been taking my sons to Diamondbacks games for the last 15 years. Watching the D-Backs (Diamondbacks) 2023 postseason run alongside both my sons was a special moment we will never forget, and we look forward to seeing the D-Backs finish the job this year.
With young talent all around the diamond, headlined by 2023 Unanimous National League Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll. Diamondback fans have multiple reasons to look forward to the new season.
“Corbin Carroll has quickly become not only my favorite D-Back, but my favorite player in the league,” said Mark Miranda, a lifelong Diamondbacks fan.
As the 2025 baseball season gets underway, Arizona Diamondbacks fans have high expectations and are ready for the D-backs to claim a second World Series Title.
