Maxim hosts party for Super Bowl XLIX
As they did seven years ago, Maxim hosted an exclusive–and expensive–Super Bowl party
February 20, 2015
Maxim is notorious for hosting its annual Super Bowl parties, which attract celebrities and fans of the magazine from all over the country. This year’s event was no different, the organizers spared no expense to provide the guests with wild entertainment and of course plenty of beautiful women.
The event was hosted on Jan. 31, at an airport hangar in Scottsdale. The 48,000 square-foot property was an ideal choice, with outdoor and indoor areas for guests to enjoy entertainment such as aerial performers, photo booths, a drag strip for racing a selection of Dodge Vipers and performances by Nick Cannon and Ludacris. The venue was fully catered with gourmet finger foods such as chili shrimp skewers, truffles, and vegan falafel bites. There was also an open bar and VIP areas for bottle service.
Timex, one of the event’s sponsors, was also hosting a draw on twitter to win an all-expense paid trip to the party. During the event, Timex provided an additional draw giving guests the opportunity to win one of their watches.
The event may have been one of the most exclusive of the year, but for some locals girls, getting the golden ticket to the Maxim party was not as hard-fought. Maxim began its model casting weeks before, hosting interviews at Scottsdale night clubs such as ‘Cake’ and ‘Bottled Blonde.’ Local girls gave on-camera interviews to determine if they had the right look and personality to represent Maxim. The selected models were asked to fill out model release forms, and were paid to attend to the VIP’s for bottle service and mingle with the guests. They were also given the opportunity to submit friends for consideration, whom if approved were allowed to attend the event as unpaid models.
This year’s event was smaller and even more exclusive than the previous time Maxim hosted a Super Bowl party in Arizona seven years ago. There was no shortage of celebrity guest appearances, such as the Bella Twins, Chris Evans, and Alyssa Milano, but for those attendants that were not selected, tickets were available for $2,000 for general admission, and $30,000 for VIP.
