Wet Electric, the largest festival and pool party in the country, is being held at Big Surf Waterpark in Tempe. It is a two-day event which starts April 25.

The event is a new take on the music festival. For two days artists and DJs will play electronic music, all while an estimated 10,000 attendees are able to enjoy the other perks the park has to offer. Big Surf is home to the largest wave pool in the country and has an assortment of waterslides, many of which are appropriate for adults. Along with that, the large wave pool will have a floating stage during the festival. That allows for those present to be near the artists, even when they are enjoying the cool water. Zip lines and bungalows are also some of what those attending will be able to enjoy.

Visitors from other major cities are expected to attend, as there are private buses available from Tucson, Los Angeles and the Orange County area, as well as San Diego.

Headliners include Tiësto, Dillon Francis, Tommy Trash, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, Caked Up, Will Sparks, Sultan + Shepard, Stonebridge, Chris Garcia, Tony Arzadon and Eddie Portillo, with support including local artists from Phoenix, Southern California and San Diego.

Electronic music is their forte and many of those are DJs that have had success in the genre. One example is Dillon Francis who played Lollapalooza in Argentina earlier this year. Another is Tiësto, an artist from the Netherlands who has been nominate for a Grammy and performed during the Opening Ceremony for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

Tickets can be purchased at the event’s website along with Zia Records locations throughout the Valley. There are different options available for event goers; single day, VIP, 7UP, Chill Pack are some examples. The price range from $69 plus fees for one day to $2450 plus fees for two days for the Big Wave Cabana tickets that come with a list of benefits. Such as a private cabana, express entry, and Wet Electric swag among others.
