The Dallas Stars won their fourth consecutive game, beating the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 on Sunday night at Mullett Arena.

It was a big night for Cameron Crotty as he made his Coyotes debut wearing the number 95, the first player to wear the number in franchise history.

Crotty, who was called up from AHL affiliate Tucson Roadrunners talked about his first NHL experience.

“It’s such a dream come true. Can’t help but think about the first time you put on the skates leading to now. What an experience, I’m going to remember this forever,” Crotty said.

Stars captain Jamie Benn got the first goal of the game to give his squad the head start.

Coyotes leading scorer Clayton Keller responded with a wrist shot from the corner to tie the game with his 30th goal of the season. Keller set a new career-long goal streak of five games, and now holds a three-game goal streak against the Stars.

In the second period, Tyler Seguin was able to light the lamp and give his team a one goal lead 2-1.

Coyotes’ rookie, Logan Cooley, was attempting to respond on a breakaway but appeared to be tripped as he crossed the blue line, even though no penalty was called on the play.

Halfway through the third period, with Tanev and Harley in the penalty box for Dallas, the Coyotes had the two-man advantage but were not able to score.

Shortly after the 5-on-3, Nick Bjugstad was able to poke one past Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger to tie the game 2-2 with 14 minutes left to play.

Oettinger had 26 saves on the night for Dallas.

With 5:28 left to play in regulation, Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen broke the tie with a deep wrist shot to take a 3-2 lead.

Connor Ingram had a busy night between the pipes for Arizona, stopping 31 shots.

Matt Duchene was able to score an empty net goal to seal the 4-2 win with 1:30 left in regulation.

Coyotes head coach, André Tourigny, told reporters after the game what he saw from his club on Sunday.

“I like our effort, I like our fight, I like our performance. I hate the result,” Tourigny said.

The Coyotes (29-37-5) continue their seven-game home stand on Tuesday night as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Mullett Arena.
