Trump’s approval rating has fallen—again.
With only 38% of all Americans approving of the job Trump has done, this latest rating is among the lowest of any U.S. President.
The Pew Research Center poll released Thursday found Trump’s approval rating slipped dramatically and there’s little indication of any gains after his recent meeting with Putin where Trump has reportedly been more favorable of Putin’s continuing demand to seek significant territorial concessions from Ukraine as a condition to end the war. The majority of Americans support Ukraine’s sovereignty and disapprove of Putin.
The poll found Trump’s approval rating also dropped among those who voted for him since taking office. His approval rating among his own supporters fell by more than ten points.
Pew Research reportedly adding to an “X” posting, “Six months into his second term, public evaluations of Donald Trump’s job performance have grown more negative. His job approval stands at 38% with disapproving and fewer Americans now attribute several positive characteristics to him than did so during the campaign.”

A state-by-state survey released on Aug. 12 by the Morning Consult showed that while Trump’s numbers remain historically low, he holds a more positive approval rating in some red states.
An August 15 poll from The Economist shows that 42% of people are favorable of Trump while 54% are unfavorable of him, while the American Research Group poll conducted in late July shows 38% of Americans approve and 59% disapprove of the job Trump has done.
Northeast Valley News asked Arizonans over the weekend to discuss their approval or disapproval of Trump’s job performance.
“If I had a chance to go back and change my vote, (regrettably, I voted for him) I can tell you I would in a second,” said Valley Industrial Technology Park business owner, Nancy Marquette.
“He is on a path to an absolute economic destruction for this country I fear and his immigration policy went from a disciplined border security plan to outright immoral policing.”
Some Arizonans that spoke to us on the condition of anonymity were more colorful in their feelings toward Donald Trump.
“He is an *expletive* habitual liar and everyone wants to know exactly how involved he was with Epstein, what he knew and what he did, but I think most know the truth will never come out while he’s in charge.”
“I am a registered Independent,” said Chandler resident, James Neumann, “Before changing my political party from Republican to Independent I voted for responsible fiscal conservatives and moderates who left personal lifestyle choices up to each individual like the Constitution guarantees. After Trump got the GOP nomination, I switched parties and I will never vote Republican again.”
According to Gallup, Trump’s rating has fallen to the lowest point of his second term, essentially matching where he was at the same time in his first term, which is not much higher than his all-time worst rating. He also gets generally poor marks for handling key issues, including immigration and the economy, which were major focuses of his campaign.
