In the age of streaming services, there are so many movies to choose from.
It can often feel overwhelming deciding which film to throw on for Friday movie night.
Thankfully, there are plenty of film critics, review websites and social media posts to help narrow down the options.
Northeast Valley News searched through two popular movie review websites – Letterboxd and Rotten Tomatoes– to find the ten “best” movies on Netflix, Hulu, Max, Paramount+ and Peacock.
Rotten Tomatoes provides two scores per movie: critics’ average rating – the “Tomatometer” – and audiences’ average rating – the “Popcornmeter”. Movies with a Tomatometer and Popcornmeter higher than 80% made our lists, as well as movies rated 3.7 stars or higher by audiences on Letterboxd.
From family favorites, classics and soon-to-be classics, this list has something for everyone.
