The Coyotes ended a three-game home stand Tuesday night in a thrilling shootout victory over the Seattle Kraken.

3-3 was the score as neither team was able to one-up the other in what was a closely fought battle.

Coyotes Forward Nick Bjugstad, who had a career-long six-game point streak leading up to tonight’s game, scored the lone goal in the shootout to secure the much needed home victory before a lengthy road trip.

In a pre-game interview with Coyotes media, Bjugstad stressed the importance of a home win in what is a very competitive Western Conference.

“It’s huge, you want to be good at home, you want to make it hard for teams to come play at the Mullet,” Bjugstad said.

The Yotes have shown some promise this season with a few of their players being on a recent hot streak.

Along with Bjugstad’s recent success on the ice, Left-Wing Lawson Crouse came into the game having scored 4 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 contests.

“I think we have higher expectations, we believe we can do better,” Bjugstad said in his pre-game interview.

However, tonight the spotlight was on Clayton Keller, who scored a goal along with a suave assist to Barrett Hayton just before the end of the second period. Keller also made a clutch save in the first period which made highlights across the internet.

Matias Maccelli also scored a goal for the Coyotes, extending his career-best point streak to nine games.

The now 6-5 Coyotes move onto a lengthy five-game road trip where they’ll have some tough matchups, including the Dallas Stars on 11/14.
